Composition:  Blue Steel. The Blue Steel alloy of this Jump'In bit collection is 54% carbon and 46% manganese. 

Effect: this bit has an action on the horse balance. It makes the horse rebalance and transfer its weight on the hindquarters. The larger the rings are, the stronger the gag action is. This bit combines the gag action and the full cheek bit action so it combines balance and direction. The tube system between the cannon and the ring make the cannon slide better and avoid pinching. Blue Steel oxidizes when in contact of air and humidity creating a thin layer of rust which has a sweet taste that will naturally stimulate the production of saliva. By salivating more, horses will take the bit more. With this oxidizing process, the bit Colour will turn into a greyish brown.

Tips: this bit needs special cheek pieces and can be used directly with two reins, with bit loops or with four reins. It is ideal for horses that don't have a great posture and for riders who want to make their horse learn how to work again. This alloy will oxidize with time and create a layer of rust that will stimulate the horse relaxation while working. The copper elements and the copper rings on the central piece will also have an positive effect on the horse relaxation.

Maintenance advice: rinse the bit after each use to prevent any residue deposit and to avoid your horse to feel any discomfort.
